I might pull the trigger this summer on lowering springs for the 6MT Optima and paint the wheels vintage gold.
It may make me want to keep it for another year.
BONUS: Sticker-bombed cargo box. Yes, no or LOL?

You have a 6MT Optima?
I had forgotten that those existed.

Yes on the springs (don’t forget the shocks) and wheels. No on the cargo box, unless you actually need the cargo box.
But that’s just my opinion.

I think it’s because most people who want to drive manuals here are enthusiasts, why get a manual in a regular cars?

Well in my case it’s two kids, a warranty, reliability, budget and mileage for a DD. I’m not giving up my 3 pedals.
*Kind of like an Accord, but cheaper

I was more speaking about the general public. I was thinking it had something to do with that, since you know this is oppo. I feel weird driving an auto these days.

There was a time where I went so long without driving an auto that when I did I would panic coming to a stop because I couldn’t find the clutch.

I spent 2 weeks in Europe with a rental manual Mercedes. That was the first time I had an extended time with a manual and after coming home I was looking for the clutch for a couple days. My left leg felt like it needed to be doing something.

That used to happen to me everytime I got in my wife’s car.
Recently I stared switching back and forth, often driving her car more, because mine was broken down, and I don’t have that problem anymore. It’s kind of the same feeling as you get when you think your on the last step on a flight of stairs so you step like there’s no more steps, but then the floor is 6” lower than you expected. That’s exactly the feeling you get when you go to start an automatic car, move you pr left door onto the clutch only to find no clutch there at all.
